AR Review: - Mike upload Anders' presentation - Done - Anders update his presentation - No report New items: Upcoming IBIS Summit at DesignCON: - Mike: What would we present? - Bob: Anders' BIRD is probably not ready yet - We should keep the BIRD simple - Will tools automate 10 test fixtures? - In practice there will be 1 waveform at most - IC companies are not in the business of providing lots of waveforms - It could be complicated to get it in an IBIS file - Mike: For the summit we could avoid discussing test fixtures - Or show just one that needs IBIS-ISS - Bob: JEITA has 12 test fixtures - Mike: We should go over those - Bob: We have the JEITA presentation Mike showed the JEITA Nov 15 summit presentation: - http://www.eda.org/ibis/summits/nov10c/hamaji.pdf - The test circuits are on pages 7 & 8 - Page 9 shows their flow - Bob: We intend that users be able to test - Mike: The EDA vendor should do the main testing - But users could have any HSPICE version, and need to test how it works with their main tool - Why does the chip vendor download golden data in this diagram? - Bob: The question is, why is JEITA the source of the data? - The JEITA web page would ask for personal info before downloading Mike showed the JEITA EC Center web page: - http://ec.jeita.or.jp - Bob: They said it would be live by the end of 2010 - There is a question about if they will hire someone to upload data Discussion of agenda for our next meeting: - It will be Jan 4 - We could continue discussion of test fixtures - Mike: There are no differential circuits - Eckhard: They do have high speed, low speed, and differential Mike showed his PWL experiment: - Bob: There is no C_comp for the driver - The results are pretty close - The differences might be numerical resolution issues - Mike: The proposal might be to have PWL sources - It will not be in IBIS-ISS - Bob: Anders could potentially present this - Mike: Voltage errors of 3mV seem too large to be numerical artifacts - Bob: The stair-stepped PWL data is not showing - Mike: I need to make a spreadsheet with all data together Next meetings: - Next meetings Dec 21 and Jan 4 Jan 4 agenda: - IBIS summit report - JEITA quality plans - Mike's PWL studies - Anders' presentation Meeting ended at 12:22 Eastern Time.
